Services

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

BOOKING DEPOSITS

  • All bookings require a non-refundable deposit to secure that time and date

  • Deposits must be paid within 24 hours of making the booking, unless using the online instant booking system

  • Deposits can not be used as a credit toward other bookings where another deposit has already been made 

  • Bookings are not held or reserved unless the deposit has been paid. Evidence of payment is required.

CANCELLATIONS, RESCHEDULING & NO-SHOWS

  • Cancellations and rescheduling can be made up to 48 hours prior to the booking

  • Any cancellation or reschedule made within 48 hours prior to the booking will incur a late cancellation fee equal to the cost of the reserved service. This also applies to no-shows.

 

HAIR STYLING

  • Hair styling options are limited to curls, waves, straightening, and straight, slick ponytails

  • No textured ponytails/buns/boho styles as these often take longer than the allocated booking time

  • It is advised you send through a photo in advance of your desired style if you are unsure as to whether it can be provided. If it does not comply it may be refused on the day.

  • Hair styling is only provided as an add-on service, and is not provided as a stand alone option

TRAVEL

  • Travel bookings must be made through direct inquiry, not through the online booking system 

  • Mobile bookings will incur a personalised travel fee starting at $50, and may vary depending on the time, distance and conditions of travel to the location 

  • Mobile bookings will not be granted if there are other bookings on the same date

  •  The client is responsible for covering the costs of any street or garage parking fees

BRIDAL BOOKINGS:

  • Bridal bookings Monday to Friday must include a minimum of 4 people per party (or the fee equivalent). Bridal bookings on Saturdays and Sundays require a minimum of 5 people per party

  • If the booking is altered once the deposit has been paid, the outstanding amount will remain the same

  • Any changes in location will alter the travel fee + time required to complete the booking

  • Hair styling is not provided or included in bridal bookings

  • Dates are not reserved or held unless a deposit has been made

SURCHARGES

  • Public Holiday & Sunday Surcharge: $10 per service

  • Before and After Hours Surcharge: $15 per service

INVOICES

  • All formal invoices must be paid within the 2 week grace period

  • If an invoice falls overdue, an additional 10% late fee will incur per consecutive week until it is paid

LATE ARRIVALS

  •  Arriving up to 10 minutes late to your booking will unfortunately cut into the application time and a full makeup application may not be completed. 

  • Arriving 15+ minutes late is considered a no-show, and will result in the cancelation of your booking with no refund or exchange of the booking deposit. This will incur a late cancellation fee equal to the cost of the reserved service.

  • It is recommended that you arrive 10 minutes before your booking time in order to find a park etc. as bookings often run back to back.

PHOTOGRAPHS

  •  The client allows the right for photos to be taken before and after makeup application which may be used on socials with your consent

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Any allergies or sensitivities must be brought to attention before the time of the booking so that appropriate preparations can be made

  • The client must arrive with clean skin, free from makeup, and clean, dry hair if having booked a hair & makeup booking

  • Mercedes Edmonds will not be liable for any consequential damages caused due to the clients failure to inform her of any known conditions

  • Mercedes Edmonds reserves the right to refuse service to anyone showing signs of infectious conditions, or who displays inappropriate, aggressive or violent behaviour. If the service is refused, the booking deposit will not be refunded.

SPECIALISED PRODUCTS & NON-INCLUSIONS

  • Any specialised product or accessory preferences will be provided by the client, or at the clients' expense on top of the general service fee.

  • The following extra tasks are not included in the general service: Tattoo cover up, evening out uneven sunburn/tan, fixing skin peeling, providing partial makeup eg. eyes/base only, touching up someone else's work, starting on a half-face of makeup, fixing or applying hair extensions or cutting hair.

COVID-19

  • If you are suffering from any flu-like symptoms I ask that you notify me to reschedule and do not attend your appointment.
